This
puller is for removing the camshaft sprockets on all V6 Audi® and VW® engines
(early 2 valve AND later 5 valve per cyl. engines but not VR6®.) and V8 Audi®
and VW® engines. Essential for a proper timing belt replacement on these
engines. Also useful for removing
the injection pump sprockets on all Diesels up to mid 1999 (A1, A2 & A3 chassis
G/J/NB, and B4 chassis Passats®). Durable, heat treated arms and jackscrew.

For 1996, 1997 Passat® TDI® and 1997-1999.4 Golf®/Jetta® TDI® (1Z and AHU engines). Gently holds the crank sprocket at TDC when you wrap the new belt on – a real convenience.

This universal tensioner spanner will fit nearly all VW®/Audi® timing belt tensioners (gas or diesel). Great for engines with little room between engine mount and tensioner. (like A4 TDIs®). This beauty will fit inside the motor mount and allow nearly 360° access to your timing belt tensioner. Machined from 1 piece of solid alloy steel – no pins to rip out, includes handy flat wrench, lanyard and vinyl grip. Note: this is not for your alternator belt tensioner.

Part MN1111 - Economy Tensioner Wrench
This basic tensioner spanner will fit most pre 1999 VW®/Audi® timing belt tensioners (gas or diesel). This is the exact tool needed for 1996-1997 Passat® TDI and 1997-1999.5 Jetta® TDI engines. Machined from 1 piece of solid alloy steel – no pins to rip out. Sturdy vinyl grip. Not recommended for Mk-IV (A4) chassis TDIs (Golf®,Jetta®,New Beetle®)that were introduced in mid 1999 - those models need our MN3333 tool due to the confined spaces involved.
Note: this is not for your alternator belt tensioner.

Part MN3418 - Universal Cam Locking Plate
This universal cam plate works for all TDI® from 1996 up to and including 2003. For 1Z and AHU engine codes (used in Passat® and Golf®/Jetta® 3 (or MKIII) from 1996 - early 1999) and the ALH engines (used for 1999.5 Golf®/Jetta® 4 (or MKIV)and all New Beetle® TDI®) up to and including 2003 models. This tool locks your camshaft at top dead center. Precision machined
from stainless steel. Also works on earlier VW® 4 cylinder 1.5 and 1.6 liter diesels and turbodiesels. Not for 2004
and later PD engines.

Part MN3036 - Universal Sprocket Buster (TM) Counterhold Tool
Universal sprocket counterhold tool. Holds the sprocket when loosening or tightening the cam sprocket center bolt. Essential for diesel timing belt changes. Useful for holding any sprocket that has spokes with holes larger than about 17 mm, including gasoline cam and intermediate shaft sprockets.
Tip – While you will need this for a timing belt change, there is also an added bonus: Install a new water pump on your A3/B4 TDI® at every 2nd timing belt. This tool will allow you to remove the intermediate shaft pulley – exposing water pump bolts.
