Kit of 4 specialty tools for changing the timing belt on TDI® Engine codes BEW and BHW.  Chassis include all 2004 and most 2005 Golf®Jetta® and New Beetle® and 2005 Passat®.  Not for 2003 and earlier models equipped with rotary pump type engines. 4 piece kit price or sold individually below. Note:  This kit once contained the MN3333 for adjusting 2-hole tensioners found on some early BEW engines.  Customer feedback has indicated that the replacement tensioners accept a 6 mm hex key for rotating the tensioner hub.  Check your replacement tensioner for a hexagon hole.  If it does not have a hexagon hole and only has two pin holes for turning the hub, you may want to order the MN3333 sold separately below.

Part MN3333 - Compact 3-way Tensioner Wrench

This universal tensioner spanner will fit nearly all VW®/Audi® timing belt tensioners (gas or diesel). Great for engines with little room between engine mount and tensioner. (like A4 TDIs®). This beauty will fit inside the motor mount and allow nearly 360° access to your timing belt tensioner. Machined from 1 piece of solid alloy steel – no pins to rip out, includes handy flat wrench, lanyard and vinyl grip. Note: this is not for your alternator belt tensioner.

Part MNT060 - 1.9 PD 2.0 PD Serpentine 'L' Pin (2004-2005)(T10060A)

For 2004+ Golf®/Jetta® and all New Beetle® TDI® serpentine belt Replacement on 2004 BEW engine codes (1.9 PD). Also needed during timing belt replacement. This tool locks the serpentine (alternator) belt in the retracted position. Precision ground, hardened stainless steel.

This special keeper plate holds the timing belt tensioner back and out the way when installing a new timing belt. Applications include certain European market models ONLY!  Although specified in factory repair manuals for early BEW PD engines in the North American market, we have not confirmed the need in North America.  Please contact us if you know otherwise.

Part MN3359 - 1.9 and 2.0 PD Cam Sprocket Pin (also A4 TDI pump Pin)

For 1999.5 Golf®/Jetta® and all New Beetle® TDI® Timing Belt Replacement (ALH engine codes) up to and including 2003, and now 2004-2006 BEW engine codes (1.9 PD). Precision ground, hardened, and vented stainless steel. For ALH, this pin locks the injection pump at top dead center. For 2004-2006 models with 1.9 PD (BEW, BRM) engines and 2.0 PD (BHW) engines, this same pin is used for locking the camshaft sprocket hub at TDC.

Part MNT10115 - Shows as 1.9 and 2.0 PD Tensioner Holding Pin- Triangle Handle (2004-2005)

This 1.9 PD Triangle Handle Tensioner Holding Pin (T10115) may be needed on certain PD diesels in North America starting in model year 2004. This tool functions similar to the MNT10008 (T10008) and locks certain types of timing belt tensioners in the retracted position. Regretfully, we do not know the years/models that this tool may be needed for. To avoid a potential headache, unless you know for certain that you will not need it, we suggest that you include one in your PD tool kit.
