Part V6KIT3PC - V6 Timing Belt Tool Kit

This timing belt tool kit is used to change the timing belt on cars with 2 valve V6 and 5 valve V6 VW®/Audi® engines.  The kit includes our MNV668 (replaces factory tool numbers 3243, 3391 and T40005), includes our MN3242 to lock the cranks on allV6 (except 3.0 liter) and our MN2222 to pull the cam sprockets off of their tapered shafts.  Each item is also available separately (described separately below).  Not for use with impact tools.

Part MNV668 - V6-V6-V8 Cam Locking Bar

This multi-engine tool is used to lock both camshafts on cars with 2 valve V6, 5 valve V6 and V8 VW®/Audi® engines.  Replaces tool numbers 3243, 3391 and T40005.  Lightweight high strength aluminum with self-hanging feature eliminates the hooks, clamps and wire typically needed to strap the tool to the engine.  Use with 2-arm puller (MN2222) and for most applications, our crank lock pin (MN3242) each sold separately.  Not for use with impact tools.  Metalnerd® brand.

Part MN2222 - 2-Arm Sprocket Puller

This puller is for removing the camshaft sprockets on all V6 Audi® and VW® engines (early 2 valve AND later 5 valve per cyl. engines but not VR6®.) and V8 Audi® and VW® engines. Essential for a proper timing belt replacement on these engines.  Also useful for removing the injection pump sprockets on all Diesels up to mid 1999 (A1, A2 & A3 chassis G/J/NB, and B4 chassis Passats®). Durable, heat treated arms and jackscrew.

Part MN3242 - V6 Crank Locking Pin

This heavy duty pin goes in the side of the block and locks the crank at Top Dead Center. Essential for proper timing belt installation on all V6 Audi® and VW® engines except 3.0 liter (OK for both early 2 valve AND later 5 valve per cyl. engines but not VR6®.)  Solid steel with coating to resist rust - Metalnerd® Brand
