Part MNXZ18 - 18mm 12 Point Driver

This impact grade 18 mm triple square is supplied with a 1-piece ½” drive base with an overall length of 60 mm. This short 18 mm is used for removing Mk5 (A5) rear wheel bearing assemblies. Applications include 2006 Jetta and other Mk5 chassis cars.

This extra heavy wrench provides the rigid counterhold needed for safe removal of the crank sprocket center bolt.
(1)Bolt the tool hub to the crank sprocket with the self-centering high strength bolts provided.
(2)Screw in some standard 3/4" water pipe for the handle(not included)and rotate the handle to any of 14 positions from BDC or TDC to place the handle in a handy spot or against a rigid stop (floor, subframe, etc.)
(3)Insert the high strength pins to lock tool handle to the tool hub at the desired angle.
Standard 3/4" water pipe handle is not included. (E-mail if you want us to locate some for you) Tool should fit most 4 cylinder VW/Audi engines (Tested thus far for fit on diesel and TDI from 1984-2006, including 1.9L PD, 2.0 liter gas engine from 2001)

Part MN219ZM - 19 mm 12 Point Socket, Impact Grade
This impact grade 19 mm 12 point socket with 1/2" square drive is used to remove the crank center bolt that retains the timing crank sprocket. This quality European-made oil filter cap & filter socket has 14 flats to fit filters and filter caps in the range of 74-76 mm. Part MN0812 - 12 Point Driver Set
(Also known as triple square bits)
Set includes one 8 mm with a 3/8” drive base that is 55 mm overall length and 10 and 12 mm with a ½” drive base that are 160 mm overall length.
The 8 mm is commonly used for most 4 cyl. drive shaft bolts (where the inner CV bolts to the tranny flange) and more recently, on door lock hardware.
The 10 mm is used on inner CV bolts on cars with 1.8T engines and for some alternator pulleys, starter mounting and flywheel bolts as well as early 1.8T engine bolt heads.
The 12 mm is most commonly used for 1.8 gas all diesel and TDI head bolts from about 1984 to 2003 (Not sure after that). The newer MKIV (A4)chassis cars require the 12 mm on the steering wheel center bolt. The 12 mm is used on inner CV bolts on cars with V6 engines
Note: Some 1.8T and 2.0 gas engines require a special 6 lobe bit - see comments under P/N 18TKIT

This premium quality 8 mm is 55 mm long and is supplied with 3/8” drive base. The 8 mm is commonly used for drive shaft bolts (where the inner CV bolts to the tranny flange) and some door hardware. Top quality Metalnerd brand made from S2 tool steel.

This 10 mm triple square is supplied with a permanent ½” drive base with an extra long overall length of 160 mm. The 10 mm is used for some starter mounting bolts, flywheel bolts and other applications. Some late model cars use this 10 mm on inner CV bolts, where the driveshaft attaches to the transmission. NEW: These bits are NOW long enough for the early 1.8T engines** that need 10 mm 12 point spline bits. Top quality Metalnerd brand made from S2 tool steel.

Part MN2122 - Specialty Double 21 & 22 mm Strut Nut Sockets
IMPROVED
– Torque wrench compatible! This double ended socket is just the ticket
for A4 (MK-IV) chassis Golf/Jetta/New Beetles because the front struts have BOTH
sizes to remove. Some earlier models (A3 chassis) that have VR6-type strut
bushings also require both sizes. The 8.5" long heat treated box wrench holds
the socket using snap rings. Interior has a thru bore that allows you to
reach inside and hold the strut shaft with a standard 6 or 7 mm hex bit (3/8"
drive). Some brands of strut use 6 mm and some use 7 mm hex - sold separately.
The square hole in the handle permits the use of a torque wrench to set the nut
torque to factory specs.

Part MN3424 - Strut Spreader Bit
The newer cars have a front strut that is is held at the bottom by a hefty clamp in the bearing carrier. After using your own spring compressor, this tool will spread the clamp. Don't break your good screwdrivers on this task! For Golf/Jetta/NB from 1999. Handy hex base fits into your 13 mm or 1/2" box wrench or socket.

Part MN565600 - MAF Bit Kit
The newer cars have specialty screws holding the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) in the air intake. Unfortunately, certain models in both gas and TDI have MAFs that are prone to failure. These bits will allow you to change the MAF without screw damage. The kit includes one 5 lobe (#25) and one 6 lobe (#20).

Part MN2567 - Gear Box Drain Bit
This unusual tool is necessary for changing gear oil on many VW®, Audi® and Porsche® transmissions, differentials and all wheel drive components. Hex-end (17 mm) fits older models while star-shaped end fits later models. The star end is called out as tool #2567 and #3357 in repair manuals. 60 mm long 14 mm hex bit with 1/2" square drive is used to remove the drive
shafts from front wheel drive late model cars like 1998+ Passat® and Audi®. At
the center of the spindle there is a bolt that attaches the axle to the center
of the hub. Note: all-wheel drive models (e.g. 4-MotionÒ)
require this 14 mm for the rear axles AND a larger 17 mm type for the front

Part MN26499 - 17 mm Hex Bit Socket, Impact Grade
This 75 mm long 17 mm hex bit with 1/2" square drive is used to remove the drive shafts from late model cars like 1998+ Passat® and Audi® that have all wheel drive like 4-motion®. At the center of the spindle there is a bolt that attaches the axle to the center of the hub. Not recommended for gear box drain plugs unless the there is sufficient room for bit length.

This
extra long tool is necessary for removing the two hard-to-reach oil pan screws
on many late model VW® and Audi® engines. Hex-ball end (5 mm) fits 5 mm hex
drive pan screws utilized on TDI from 1999 onward (ALH code), 2.0 liter gas
engines and any others with a 5 mm hex socket drive. This ball-hex bit also fits
early TDI (1996-1998) 1Z and AHU engines codes that have screws with 6 spline
